Individual expression and creativity are key to developing students' confidence, attitude and expertise across our drama provision.
Students at all levels in School are encouraged to express themselves through a calendar of productions, performances and showcases throughout the academic year. The most auspicious of these performances is the annual school production. In recent years this has included Les Miserables and Hamlet and we look forward to Little Shop of Horrors in March 2016.
In Overdale drama is integral to the English curriculum and in addition to this a range of Beyond the Curriculum and Cross-Curricular activities are focused on developing skills in the performing arts. The annual Year 7 one-act plays demonstrate the skills developed over the year.
House drama provides students with the opportunity of writing, directing and producing their own work without teacher input and the evening is a firm favourite in the school calendar, and very hotly contested.
