On Friday 22nd July, Birkenhead School welcomed Irby Primary School, Thornton Hough Primary School and West Kirby Primary School to enjoy an afternoon of Rounders.
The festival’s aim was to show the enjoyment gained from playing this team sport, whilst also equipping the players with further skills for the games ahead.
Everyone had a fantastic time playing Rounders and there was an abundance of skills on show throughout the afternoon.
Following the games, there was a short presentation assembly and each player was awarded a medal for their participation in the fun-filled afternoon.
The fun didn’t stop there, however, as everyone was then able to enjoy a barbecue and some much-needed refreshments before heading home.
We’d like to thank all schools for their participation in our Sports Festivals over the past academic year, Netball, Tag Rugby, Kwik Cricket and Rounders. Each festival has been very beneficial and enjoyable, with children learning sports skills and hopefully finding new passions and hobbies. We look forward to seeing you all again at the coming academic year’s festivals.
