Birkenhead School welcomes young girls
for the beginning of their education. To make life easier for the many parents
who have the difficult juggling act of dropping children at separate schools and
nurseries, we now offer co-educational care in our Nursery and Pre-Prep. This is
of developmental benefit to very young children as they learn to socialise in a
mixed sex environment.
The Nursery offers places to girls aged from three months to three years. Parents may then choose to extend this through to our excellent Pre-Prep facility. Both girls and boys may enter the Pre-Prep at the start of the term after their third birthday or later if deemed advantageous to the child. As the children approach the age of five, the Pre-Prep will assist them in their transition to School.
Entry to Prep and Senior School is open to boys only, with girls being welcomed back for A Level courses. We believe that this system will enable the maximum flexibility whilst maintaining the highest standards of care and academic excellence for all of our pupils.
