These young people deserve a good press.
For the fifth year in succession students at Birkenhead School have achieved a perfect 100% pass rate at A level, with an impressive 81% of grades at A* to B. Headmaster John Clark congratulated students and s The tension is over and these results represent an outstanding achievement for individuals and the school as whole. Entry to university this year has been fiercely competitive, with students across the country anxious to beat the new fees. It is a great relief to see our candidates well ahead in securing places on their first choice courses at the top Russell Group universities. The most popular subjects for boys and girls at Birkenhead School this year have been mathematics, medicine, engineering and business, and in many cases students have been required to obtain all A grades. It’s a tough world out there.”
Delighted students receive their results (R to L): Sophie Mathew-Jones, Emma Redhead, Vicky Wells and Sam Edwards, all of whom achieved A* or A in all their A levels and who will be studying Chemistry (Oxford University), Mathematics (Durham University), Medicine (King’s College, London) and Medicine (Leeds University) respectively.
