- The Library continues to support the whole curriculum. Junior, Middle
and Sixth Form lessons have been held in the Library on a variety of
subjects including English, Theatre Studies, History and Science. Work
produced during these lessons has been put on display.
- Fiction reading has been promoted extensively in School: Year 7 have
completed a Passport to Fiction reading challenge, Year 8 pupils
participated in a Carnegie Medal shadowing group, Year 9 pupils have been
reading the Wirral Paperback of the Year shortlisted books and Year 10 have
been given the challenge of the A* reading box.
- Year 7 have completed a course of research skills lessons.
- The Library was the focal point for School Environment Week. A net of
promises was on display all week and pupils and staff were encouraged to
make environmental pledges. Year 8 and Year 9 pupils made sculptures from
rubbish which were on display in the library.
