The Modern Languages Department has continued to work with partner schools in Europe on our programme of exchanges; 10 pupils from various years took part in the exchange to Germany with the Geschwister-Scholl-Schule in Tübingen; 12 pupils participated in our joint exchange programme with Upton Hall School to France, at the College Fénelon Sainte Marie in central Paris; and 18 students and Rachel Mairs took part in our inaugural exchange with Colegio Santa Teresa, Pamplona, Navarra, which next year will also include a brief stay in the capital, Madrid.

This year’s 3 day Year 7 French trip went to St Omer and the majority of the cohort participated. The aim of the excursion was primarily to practise their French in real- life scenarios, but also crossed the curriculum into History and Maths.
