- During the Scouting Centenary Year the troop has been to the District
Centenary Camp at Hawarden, and is participating in the Hampshire
International Jamboree in July and August, culminating in a day visit to the
World Jamboree, which is attended by 40, 000 Scouts from more than 200
countries and territories. At 8am on 1st August, all Scouts across the world
will be reaffirming their promise as part of the Centenary Sunrise Ceremony.
- The troop has participated in all the District Competitions, and shared
the winning positions in the Scout Skills Competition and the Swimming Gala.
- Johnathan Williams and Alex Campbell both starred in the District Gang
Show in February.
- Richard Jones became the first Scout in the District to achieve 75
nights away in Scouting and completed his Gold Chief Scout’s Award. Ben
Attwood will soon join him in this award.
- Philip Eakins and Theo Watkinson will be attending the Regional Patrol
Leaders’ Day at Rheged, Cumbria.
