This year we have had many fundraising projects going on. Here you can read about the things we have done and what we hope to do later in the year.
Sponsored Walk
On the Field Day in the Michaelmas Term four members of the team (Matthew Norval, Robert Mathew-Jones, Patrick Anstey and Thomas Bowhay) went on a sponsored walk. They walked fifteen miles, starting at Seacombe and travelling around the coast of the Wirral to West Kirby where they stopped for lunch by the marine lake. They then joined the Wirral Way and completed their walk at Thurstaston. This raised £284.30 for Jilile and was a really fun day out.
Sponsored Golf
On the same day as the sponsored walk, two boys, Ben Kirkham and Ethan Smith collected sponsorship to play as many rounds of golf as they could in a day. At 7:00am they arrived at Heswall Golf Club. They managed to fit in exactly three rounds over the next twelve hours and raised a total of £300. They had so much fun and raised so much money that they plan to repeat this on the next Field Day.
Car Wash
On the Lent Term Field Day we had a teachers’ car wash. We collected the
names of teachers who wanted their car washed and spent the day cleaning. We all
had a lot of fun and made £186.87 for the village.
