Birkenhead School is an independent co-educational school situated in Oxton, on the Wirral. Established nearly 150 years, we have a record of excellence and unrivalled facilities. We have been running our Holiday Activity Course programme for the past 17 years and welcome children from not just from the local area, but also from overseas. We offer over 50 courses for children aged between 4 - 15 years and operate during every school holiday apart from Christmas.
Courses are designed for children to have an action packed week of skill and personal development where the emphasis is to have lots of fun, make new friends, and learn new skills through active participation.
We have access to the School’s superb range of facilities which are appropriate for all age ranges and we work within the statutory adult:child ratios. Our Tutors are qualified teachers/instructors with enhanced CRB checks, who supervise the children all day so that parents can feel at ease, knowing their children are cared for in a safe and stimulating environment.

Note: There is a mistake on page 10 of the brochure. The age range for the Young Adventurer Survival Skills, Basha Building, Archery, Cooking and Orienteering should read 10-15 years not 8-15 years. Apologies for any confusion caused.
Age Ranges
Birkenhead School will once again offer a whole host of holiday activity courses for children aged from 4 to 15 years.
4 – 5 year olds Mini Explorer Courses
5 – 7 year olds Junior Explorer Courses
7 – 15 year olds Young Adventurer Courses
Children are grouped according to the categories above. However, coaches will break the groups down further to ensure that children find their level and are with others of a similar age or ability. Should you prefer your son/daughter to move up a category then please speak to our office to discuss the matter?
Activities
The range of activities we offer include:
Football, Drama, Dance, Gymnastics, Climbing & Abseiling, Tag-rugby, Art & Craft Activities/Workshops, Tennis, Badminton, Cricket, Netball, Uni-hockey, Basketball, Design & Technology, Science Investigation, Watersports, Computing, Golf, Music, Cricket Coaching & Go-Karting.
