Typing Foreign Characters

If you need to type foreign language characters (é ô ç etc), you can find out how to do it below. Why not print a copy and keep it near your computer? As well as using the keystrokes below to enter characters, you can also use the Character Map which can be found in Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools.

How to type foreign language characters in French

Using Character Codes

Ensure Num Lock is on
Press and hold down Alt
Type the four digit code for the required character (see below)
