After
a brief introduction to each of the major world religions in Year 6, students
will have time to explore these topics in greater detail in Years 7-9. They will
then look at a series of ethical issues in Year 10 and discuss them from various
religious and non religious points of view.
- Year 7: Judaism, Palestine in the time of Jesus, The life of Jesus.
- Year 8: Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism
- Year 9: Islam, Christianity, Ideas of God.
- Those students choosing to take the GCSE in Year 10 will follow the
Edexcel course, options I (Christianity) and O (Buddhism). This GCSE has no
coursework.
