What is it?
A new, modern way to communicate and interact with past and present members of
Birkenhead School. Think “Friends Reunited” with the advantage of being only for
people associated with the School.

It can be accessed through links to Birkonians Connected on the School and OBS
websites or directly by going to

- Once on the Birkonians Connected site, click on "New, never registered before?"
- Complete the on-line registration forms and questions that allow us to verify your identity.
- If we have already sent you a PIN, put this in to make this process even easier.
- Enter a username and password which are easy for you to remember. These are what you will use to log onto the system in the future.
- Click Submit. Important: You should see thank you displayed at
the end of the process. If not, you will be asked to
repeat certain steps above. - You will immediately receive an email from us thanking you for registering.
- Later, a second email from us will remind you of the user name and
password you have chosen and give you full
access to Birkonians Connected.
Our Promise to You
The information we keep is never sold or passed on by us to any commercial third parties for purposes unconnected with the School or the Society. It is used only by us, or by third parties on our behalf and under our direction, for purposes related to the School and Society.
These purposes include:
- Allowing you and us to keep track of where members are, and what they are doing.
- Administering the Society and keeping in touch with you.
- Supporting the activities of the School.
The system supporting Birkonians Connected is a powerful membership management database managed by a specialist software company, Abattia. It incorporates data privacy technology, which means we can provide a secure service in line with your choices about disclosure and use of your personal information, whilst complying fully with privacy regulations.
The system will protect your rights over the information held about you. You will control what information is held on the system, and whether this information is visible to other registered users. The system will ensure that we handle your personal information in the way that you specify.
