Year 8 pupils have had the opportunity to learn basic cooking techniques and to taste and prepare exciting dishes to impress their friends and families. The Cookery Academy takes place on Monday evenings at Upton Hall School from 4pm-6pm.Pupils have already made a variety of dishes including cookies, brownies, flapjacks, Victoria Sponge cake, soups, garlic bread, pasta bakes, pizza, lasagne, Eton Mess, tomato and white sauce. In addition, our budding chefs have learnt how to wash and clear up without the aid of a dishwasher!

In the near future, we will be attempting to make barbecue recipes, dips, salsa and chocolate roulade. The Cookery Academy is run by Mrs. Sharman and Dr. Jarvis.
