It’s nice to start the Cricket season with some nice weather. A good victory against the 40 Club set us off on the right foot, and almost perfect conditions greeted our second home fixture against St Anselms College on Wednesday 25th, when to add to the picturesque quality of School Field, the cherries were in full flower.

Early form has been auspicious, with the tour to Uppingham yielding some excellent pre-season performances, and currently the team have two wins out of three.

The nucleus of the team is the usual suspects of David Hurst, Captain, (Lancashire Academy); Andrew Clarke (Cheshire); Nick Lytollis; Ali Greenfield; Adam Lee; Lewis Robinson; David Manchett and Greg Baxter.  Fifth Former Andrew Murphy (Cheshire) makes a welcome addition to the side.
