It was my very first day at Birkenhead School and I arrived ready for the trip to the Conway Centre on Anglesey.  I’m sure my bag weighed as much as me as I struggled along to the coach with it (‘I know it did!’ Teacher’s comment). We set off just after assembly.

Just before lunch, we arrived at Beaumaris Castle for our History fieldwork.  We all jumped off the coach and gazed at the magnificent Castle, which appeared slightly demolished.  That, of course, was owing to the fact that the construction of Beaumaris Castle was never completed because it was not needed, and was only ever attacked once...........Jordan Hart from Year 7
