Prefects 2010-2011

The Senior Prefects for 2010-11 have been appointed; Head of School will be Edward Gibbs with deputies Tom Betts, Natasha Doyle and Josh Corlett.

Edward Gibbs: I have just finished my AS level exams and am currently studying Biology, Chemistry, History and English Literature. I am looking to continue all of these subjects through into A2. Providing everything all goes well at A-level, I hope to go on to read Politics, Psychology and Sociology (PPS) at university. When I’m not in school I enjoy going running, playing the saxophone, socialising and have recently started learning to drive – look out, I could be on the roads near you soon!

Natasha Doyle: I can honestly say that on the whole I have loved my year at school. I'm studying Biology, R.S, English and P.E, with the hope of doing physio in the near-ish future, after a much deserved gap year! Outside school I play rugby, keep horses and have been known to attend the odd social gathering from time to time. The biggest challenge for me next year will be not looking as though I have been 'dragged through a hedge backwards' as I have so kindly been informed! Apart from this small matter, I am looking forward to my next and final year.

Tom Betts:I am currently studying Geography, Art, Product Design and Economics and thoroughly enjoying each of them. I hope to play a big part in the school’s hockey first team and am looking forward to the start of next season, when I hope the team will do even better than last year. I plan to go to university and read Construction Management and then after that who knows.....hopefully a racing car driver!. I have nearly finished my Gold D of E with just the expedition to go.

Josh Corlett:I joined Birkenhead School at Kindergarten and have lasted (just!) all the way through to Sixth Form where I am currently studying English, RS, History and Geography with a view to taking Politics or Anthropology at university. Rugby is by far my favourite sport and seems to take up the majority of my time outside of school, along with sleeping, eating and ‘pumping (very light) iron’! I am probably most well known for being late to almost everything (of course never school!).
