Bright and early in the Easter break, sixty snow-seeking students from Years 9 to 11 headed to Manchester airport accompanied by six members of staff. With their fingers crossed for bluebird powder days and no injuries, the sleepy-eyes group headed for Chambery airport.
We recently welcomed Old Birkonian and Marketing and Media expert, Paul Weedon, to the School to deliver a Nicholls Lecture to our Sixth Form students.
The Sixth Form were fortunate to receive a very exciting lecture from Old Birkonian, Josh Coyne, who came in to discuss his experiences since leaving Birkenhead School.
On Friday the 16th of February, ex-military sniper and colour Sargent, Angelo Ghisietta, came into school to deliver another Nicholls Lecture Series lecture to the Sixth Form students.
Our Sixth Form students were delighted to welcome Civil Engineer, Hannah Brand, to the School to deliver an insightful talk on her career.

On the 28th February, six Year 11 students attended Liverpool John Moores University for the European Youth Parliament Regional competition.
Last week, we were thrilled to welcome Telegraph journalist, podcaster and author, Bryony Gordon, to the School to discuss her new book, Mad Woman, as part of our Inspiring Talks Series, in association with Linghams Booksellers in Heswall.
Friday 9th February saw the fourth Apprenticeship Breakfast, to round off National Apprenticeship Week in school.
Last Friday our Sixth Form welcomed Premier League and FIFA Referee, Mr Rob Jones, to give a lecture entitled, ‘From Birkenhead to the Premier League’.
