Birkonian Week saw the culmination of all of the sports days that have taken place across the school over the summer term. Our sports days are held every year to showcase the sporting abilities of students across the school and get everyone into the team spirit as the different houses compete against each other. They are always fantastic events for all the students to get involved with and this year was no exception!

Over the last few weeks all of the pupils from Pre-Prep all the way through to Year 10 have taken to the main school field to enjoy a whole afternoon of activities, whilst being cheered on by friends and family. All of the students had the chance to take part in track and field events, and some brave parents even got involved too.
Little School pupils had a brilliant time taking part in obstacle races and bucket and spade races, while the older pupils sprinted and jumped to earn points for their houses.

All of the students, courtesy of the Parents Association, were also treated to an ice cream from an ice-cream van which came onto campus at the end of the events, which was a great end to the afternoon’s activities.

Congratulations to everyone who took part, including those who got involved in the adult’s races! We are already looking forward to what the next school year holds in the sporting calendar. We hope you enjoy viewing just a small selection of the many highlights of the sporting events that have taken place over the last few weeks.
