Sports Results Week Beginning Monday 4th November 2019.

Monday 4th
The Year 3 Netball Team visited Pownall Hall School in Wilmslow to take part in their first ever netball tournament.  They played exceptionally well winning 6 out of 6 games.  Across the tournament the scored a total of 30 goals and only conceded 1! 
 
Birkenhead played host to New Brighton as the Year 6 Football Team took on New Brighton in the Houlihan Cup. Although it was a tough game Birkenhead ended the game victorious with a 2-1 win. Damon Plasvic scored both goals.
 
Tuesday 5th
On Tuesday 5th November it was the turn of the Year 4 Netball Team to visit Pownall Hall School. 
They won 2 of their games comfortably and were unlucky in the 3rd, losing by 1.
 
Wednesday 6th
Football Fixtures:
Year 6 played host to Tera Nova, coming away with another impressive 2 wins.
The A team won 5-1
The B team won 4_1
 
While the Year 6 played Tera Nova at home the Year 5 footballers visited them for an away fixture.
A team – high scoring game resulted in a 5-5 draw.
B team – fantastic result for Prep, winning 10-0.
 
Also on Wednesday children from Year 6 took part in an Indoor Athletics Competition at Bebington High. The event was split into heats of four. It was a fun event in which we finished 2nd in our heat. We are now waiting to see if we progress into the next round.

Girls' U16 Hockey County Tournament: Lost two games, one one game, MVP Rebecca Hennessy
Girls 1st VII Netball National Schools Tournament (County Round)at Wirral Grammar School: Second overall and progressing to Regional's MVP Lucy Mayers  
Girls U14 Netball National Schools Tournament (county Round) at Wirral Grammar School: Joint second overall sadly not progressing on points difference,  MVP Daisy Scott 
Girls U13 Netball V King's School Chester: Lost 16 - 5, MVP Kate Ballantyne
Girls U12 Netball V King's School Chester: Won 37 - 3, MVP Tabi Oakden 
Boys 1st XV Rugby v AKS: Won, 15 - 5 Most Impressive Skill, Counter Rucking
Boys U15 Rugby v AKS: Lost 20 - 26, MVP Bradley Thrikawala

Orienteering League Event 2, Birkenhead Park: 
The team has now moved from 5th place to 3rd place in the overall league. Isla Barnes was the highest point scorer for the school.
