Sports Results Week Beginning Monday 9th March 2020

Prep
Friday 6th March
Year 6 Football team went to Manchester City for a 7 aside tournament. Despite not losing a game, unfortunately did not manage to finish in top two of their group due to drawing too many games. Great experience had by all.

Monday 9th March
Year 5 football team played St. Peter’s, Heswall in second round of Corgi Cup. A pleasing performance resulted in a comprehensive 3 – 0 victory.
Year 6 Football team played St. Lawrence’s, Liverpool in quarter final of Liverpool Echo Shield. A good effort in horrendous conditions particularly in defence, resulted in a 2 – 1 victory.

Tuesday 10th March
Year 4 A and B and Year 3 Rugby teams played Terra Nova School in Cheshire. For both Year 4 teams, battling performance against strong opposition unfortunately resulted in 2 narrow defeats. Better news for the Year 3 team who played extremely well and were rewarded with a 5 tries to two victory.

Wednesday 11th March
Year 4 A and B football at Cheadle Hulme. Two teams took part in a round robin festival giving plenty of opportunities to be involved. An enjoyable day was had by all with the results not being the main objective of the day. In the end, the A team won 3 and lost 3 while the B team won 2, lost 2 and drew 1.

Friday 13th March
Year 6 Football team took part in North West ISFA tournament. Put in a strong group, we struggled a little, winning 1, losing 3 and drawing 2, which resulted in us not qualifying for the semi final stage.
Year 6 Netball team took part in the AJIS Netball competition away at Stockport. Like the boys, we were put into a tough group but managed to qualify for the quarter finals, before being knocked out.
