26 April 2021

Birkenhead School is delighted to share the results from the sporting fixtures from week commencing 19th April 2021. It was a joyous occasion to the see our School Field and McAllester pitches being used by our cricket teams on Saturday.

Our Sports department and students have put in a tremendous amount of effort to prepare for these fixtures so we were delighted to earn a very pleasing set of results. Our Chapel Choir and students rehearsing for Les Mis enjoyed watching the cricket during their lunch in the glorious sunshine and were delighted to see the First XI playing so well. A big thank you to our incredible Estates team who have worked tirelessly to have the sporting facilities in such amazing condition.

Director of Sport, Mr Fowles praised the “great sportsmanship and commitment shown by all”, and thanked Newcastle-under-Lyme School for the fixture on Saturday, wishing them the best of luck for the rest of the summer.

In other sports news we were delighted to hear the amazing news that Lower Sixth student Rebecca has been selected for the Cheshire U18 cricket squad, well done!

It is wonderful to see our sporting fixtures back underway and we look forward to sharing with you the other teams' results and efforts in the coming weeks. Please see the results below:
