Wed 2nd March - Year 6 Rossall Rugby 7s
Our rugby future is bright!
A tough draw had Birkenhead placed in the 'Experienced' top group or Champions League and not the Europa as we described it to the boys. The boys attacked with flair and enthusiasm, some of the support and offloading was brilliant.
Highlight of the day was 11 year old Arthur from Cheadle Hulme refereeing the game. Arthur can't play contact rugby for medical reasons and our boys were respectful and supportive towards the young official.
MVP Teddy, superb tackling and powerful forward running.
Results:
St Marys Hall - Loss
Manchester Grammar - Draw
Cheadle Hulme - Draw
Altrincham Prep - Loss
Thursday 3rd March - Year 6 Indoor Athletics at The Hive
A mixed Year 6 team comprising of 10 boys and 10 girls competed in the Wirral Schools Indoor Athletics at The Hive on Thursday afternoon. Various track and field events took place with emphasis on the team element. For our particular heat, there were 3 other schools competing and, after points were added up, we came out on top. We now await to hear about results from other heats to see if we have qualified for the Merseyside Finals.
Thursday 3rd March - Cross Country at Arrowe Park
40 pupils from Prep took part in the third cross-country race of the academic year. The Boys' team came first overall and the Girls' team came 5th.
Well done to everyone who took part and in particular:
- Brothers, Tim C (Year 5) and Ben C (Year 4) who both won their races.
- Ethan P (Year 5) - 2nd
- Eli W (Year 6) - 3rd
- Oliver H-S - 4th
- Arabella J - 6th
- Samuel B - 7th
Weekend 4th - 6th March
