On Friday 28th January, Year 1 were lucky enough to visit the warmer environment of the Blue Planet Aquarium.

The trip began with a classroom session learning about different water habitats. The children were very knowledgeable during this interactive experience and offered some super answers. We then went straight to watch the Aqua Theatre Show which was amazing. We got introduced to all the sharks, including Betty (one of the older resident sharks) and other big fish. We also watched them being fed by the underwater divers.

The children had now worked up an appetite, so we headed to the restaurant to have our packed lunches where we were still able to watch the fish through the windows. We then had the afternoon to wander around in our classes. We went through the underwater tunnel which made us feel like we were actually there. We saw so many different underwater species from sharks and rays to clownfish and parrotfish.

The trip was a wonderful experience and all the children thoroughly enjoyed it.
