Year 6 Commemorate 100 Years Since End of WWI with Visit to Trinity with Palm Grove Church

On Wednesday 10th October, Year 6 visited Trinity with Palm Grove Church to experience a fascinating and interactive event to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War 1.

The above photos show retired Prep Teacher, Sue Berry, leading a session on the timeline of conflicts since World War 1.

The following photos show pupils “in the trenches” and trying on World War 1 helmets.





The final two photos show some of the “characters” they met, including a suffragette and Nurse Edith Cavell, who saved many soldiers’ lives from both sides, without discrimination.





We’d like to thank everyone at Trinity with Palm Grove Church who made this experience such a fascinating and interesting one for all of our Year 6 pupils to enjoy.
