We'd like to extend our thanks to our School's sports sponsor, Bridging Finance Solutions, who have generously contributed to our Rugby programme this winter.

Looking the part is becoming increasingly important in school fixtures as teams invest in professional standard kit and equipment. Last year, Bridging Finance Solutions kindly invested in new kit for our senior XVs and the 1st XV also had their tops refreshed. The unified team kits give a professional and organised look at matches and the teams are very pleased with the updates.

Due to increased numbers in Years 11 to Upper Sixth, this season we were able to field two XVs on some Saturdays during Michaelmas term. With Bridging Finance Solutions' support, we were able to invest in a retro classic Birkenhead School 2nd XV kit that was also used by the victorious U16s in the Cheshire Sheild victory verus Bishop Heber in November.
Finally, with the U15s involved in the Continental Cup National Schools competition, they needed numbered shirts for cup games. By working in tandem with Gilbert/Grays teamwear the boys now have three excellent kits for the senior teams!
The new kits, allied with the continued use of VEO technologies for video analysis, means that the rugby teams not only look the part on the schools' circuit, but they are able to use professional video analysis technology to prepare and reflect on games. This technology is a fantastic addition to the school which not only allows us to analyse games, but in the not too distant future will allow us to live-screen games so that parents and students can watch the rugby, and other sports, online. With Bridging Finance Solutions also sponsoring match balls and our scoreboards, our rugby programme has benefited greatly.
