The Prep had great success at the first Wirral Schools’ Cross Country race yesterday, with both our Girls and Boys teams coming 1st! 37 children from years 4, 5 and 6 represented our school on a sunny, warm afternoon in Birkenhead Park. Sam, Olanna and Jac all came 3rd in their races and we had 6 other children who finished in the top 10 - Nate, Scarlet, Fern, Aaron, Kylan and Rosa.
Congratulations to all runners for their excellent performances.

The Year 6 Football team took part in a 4 team qualifying tournament for the AJIS Football knockout competition. In summary, Birkenhead beat Bury Grammar 2 – 1, lost narrowly to Cheadle Hulme 2 – 1 and beat Merchant Taylors 5 – 0. They therefore finished second of the four and now proceed to the main draw. Everybody gave their all but the most valuable player (MVP) award goes to Rocco Armstrong, goalkeeper, who made numerous vital saves.
