During the year we host events that are open to members of the public, as well as students.

We work closely with Linghams Booksellers in Heswall to bring some of the country's leading authors to the School. 

Richard Armitage - Actor, Voice Actor and Author
We were delighted to welcome multi-award winning stage, screen and voice actor, Richard Armitage, to the School in October 2023 to discuss his debut novel, Geneva. Read More.

In April 2022, Katy Daley-McLean MBE was the guest speaker at our annual Sports Personality Dinner.


Rachel Morrisoe - Children's Author
Back in 2021, we were pleased to welcome the author of the well-loved children's book, Drama Llama. Rachel delivered a wonderful talk to the children in Prep and signed copies of their books.

John Barnes MBE - Former International Professional Footballer.
John Barnes MBE delivered a passionate and interactive lecture via Zoom in March 2021 on the history of race and prejudice to Birkenhead School Sixth Form. Read More.


Robin Stevens - Children's Murder Mystery Author
Robin returned to Birkenhead School (via Zoom) in March 2021 to talk about her books, and in particular, the final book in the Murder Most Unladylike series; 'Death Sets Sail'. Read more.


Konnie Huq  - Television Presenter, Children's Author and Illustrator

Nikki Henderson - Record-Breaking Yachtswoman,
Nikki visited the School in January 2020 to launch the ‘No Limits’ workshop series.  The workshops are aimed at inspiring our girls, across all age groups, to see no limits to what they can achieve. Read more.
