Sunday Times Schools Guide 2025 - Independent Secondary School of the Year North West

The aim of the first two years in Seniors is to provide a broad academic foundation and to start preparing students for the subjects that they will go on to study at GCSE/IGCSE and in the Sixth Form.

Students will study the following subjects for their first two years in Seniors:

Years 7 & 8 Curriculum
Art History Religious Studies
Design & Technology ICT Science
English Mathematics Spanish
French Music Beyond the Curriculum
Geography Physical Education & Games

GCSEs (Years 9-11) Curriculum

Beyond the Curriculum

As an independent school we look to go beyond the National Curriculum to develop wider life skills during Years 7 and 8. During the two year programme, students have the opportunity to complete sessions in sessions as wide-ranging as etiquette lessons, body language and first impressions, to yoga and critical-thinking.
