Individual Support for Students
As opportunities for degree apprenticeships increase nationally, we are able to offer individual support to those students who are applying for these often highly sought after positions. Students will be offered assistance with all aspects of the application process.
Recent apprenticeships have included placements at PwC as a Software Engineer, Argyle NW Construction in Quantity Surveying, Dyson as an Engineer, the BBC learning about digital marketing, and Microsoft business operations, to name a few of our successful candidates.
During Apprenticeships Week in February, we host our Apprenticeship Breakfasts, inviting Old Birkonians and industry experts to meet with students from Year 10 to Year 13. This event allows students to hear firsthand about apprenticeship experiences across various fields and gain valuable advice and guidance. Our Old Birkonian apprentices bring insights from diverse roles, including data analysis, finance, software engineering, policing, chemical engineering, laboratory science, construction management, quantity surveying, and real estate management. These conversations provide our students with a deeper understanding of apprenticeship pathways and the exciting opportunities they offer.
