Sunday Times Schools Guide 2025 - Independent Secondary School of the Year North West

The Music Department has a full staff of visiting music tutors who give individual tuition in a wide variety of instruments to students throughout the School. Students joining us from elsewhere are given the opportunity to begin learning an instrument or to continue studying an instrument they have taken up at their previous school.

Instrumental Tuition

Instrumental tuition is available in a wide range of instruments and pupils are taught be our extensive peripatetic team of tutors. We are fortunate to have access to leading local musicians who bring with them a wealth of experience and expertise.

Pupils are offered the opportunity to try a range of different instruments so that they can decide which instrument they wish to undertake lessons in.

Lessons take place during the school day and payment is made on a termly basis direct to the instrumental tutor.

Vocal Tuition

Pupils are also able to enjoy vocal tuition with a team of visiting voice coaches.
