Our Sixth Form students were delighted to welcome Civil Engineer, Hannah Brand, to the School to deliver an insightful talk on her career.

By James H, Sixth Form student

The Lecture started with the introduction of our speaker, Hannah Brand, a successful and knowledgeable engineer. We were shown the incredible work of her company and its achievements, which included helping to construct the immense ‘Museum of the Future’ in Dubai and how it allowed her to travel to Antarctica.

We were able to learn lots about the profession and the opportunities that came with it, speaking about the difficulties she has faced as well as how she overcame them. I was also fortunate to go to the lecture lunch where I was able to speak more with Hannah about the work she does and what working as an Engineer entails.

The talk was hugely informative, very helpful and interesting for all students alike, and I cannot thank Hannah enough for her time and for coming in to further our knowledge and understanding, and for presenting her inspirational and successful career.
