We were delighted to welcome The Mayor of Wirral, Councillor Jordan, to school to present certificates to our Civic Award winners.
Councillor Jordan delivered an inspiring speech, and pupils were thrilled to meet the Mayor and celebrate their achievements during this special occasion.
The popularity of the Civic Award continues to grow each year, with a record number of participants taking part in 2026. The stage was certainly full as pupils proudly gathered to receive recognition for their hard work and commitment.
Families enjoyed a short video explaining the purpose and impact of the Civic Award, before each child had their own moment in the spotlight, sharing what they had enjoyed most throughout their journey.
As part of the award, pupils completed projects focused on their local communities, while also tracking their involvement in co-curricular activities and achievements beyond the classroom.
A huge thank you goes to Mrs Thuraisingam for organising such a memorable event for pupils and their families. It was a wonderful evening that truly showcased the enthusiasm, talent and community spirit of Birkenhead School pupils.
