During the year, there are many opportunities at which students perform in front of friends, family and wider audiences.

Festival of Music

The Festival of Music is a highlight in the School calendar and takes place during the Michaelmas term each year.

The Festival is a week of musical events that students, Choral Society members, parents and friends of the School all take part.

Highlights of the week include:
 

‘Come and Sing …’ - Day and Evening Concert

An occasion when singers of all ages come together.  Students and staff join together with Choral Society members, friends and family for a day of singing which culminates in a concert in the evening singing songs from musical theatre and other showstopper numbers.
 

Lunchtime Recitals

Daily recitals throughout the week from visiting professionals for students and staff to enjoy. 
Past performers have included the Former Director of Music at Bangor and St Asaph Cathedrals and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Principal Trombonist.
 

Gala Concert

A Gala Concert which sees the Birkenhead School Concert Band performing alongside the Wirral Symphonic Wind Band.

Workshops with Visiting Professionals

During the week a range of workshops are organised for students to learn from and work alongside visiting professionals.

Birkenhead School's Got Talent

A fun evening where students of all ages have an opportunity to showcase their talents.
